MG Motor Pakistan has launched a new consumer programme, “Start Smart This Year,” providing value benefits of up to PKR 600,000 on its HS Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) in a bid to make advanced automotive technology more attainable for buyers prioritising fuel efficiency.
According to a statement on Monday, the initiative aims to lower the entry barrier for new-energy vehicles by combining cost relief with technology enablement for prospective owners.
Under the campaign, customers will receive a waiver on registration charges valued at PKR 250,000, a fuel card worth PKR 100,000 for immediate running costs, and complimentary charging solutions.
The package includes a 7kW home charger with installation and an additional portable charger, intended to enhance the day-to-day usability of the plug-in hybrid model.
This move comes as industry observers note a growing perception of hybrid and plug-in hybrid automobiles as a practical transitional technology in Pakistan, delivering fuel savings and lower emissions without complete dependency on the nation”s charging infrastructure.
According to a company statement, the campaign reflects a customer-focused strategy and its long-term commitment to introducing globally relevant automotive technologies to the domestic market.
The company stated its objective is to foster the adoption of environmentally responsible transport solutions and contribute to the evolution of Pakistan’s automotive sector through technology-led mobility.
The MG HS PHEV features a dual-power system, combining an electric motor with a conventional engine to offer flexibility for both urban commuting and longer journeys.
The offer is available nationwide for a limited period and applies to select bookings.
