The Court of Additional Judge in Moro today ordered the registration of an FIR against three policemen of the Moro Police Station, Ayaz Bhutto, Faiz Jatt, and Parvez Ali Jatt for unjustly arresting and extorting Rs130,000 from poor scrap shop dealer Qasim Burdi.

Three days ago, the three policemen allegedly arrested Qasim Burdi without reason on Gucheero Road in Moro, subjected him to torture, and confined him in private quarters. They later forced him to pay Rs130,000 or threatened to register an FIR against him.

Qasim Burdi, with the assistance of renowned social lawyer Gulzar Inqilab Alamani, filed a plea to the District and Sessions Judge of Naushahro Feroze. The application was accepted and transferred to the Moro Additional Judge’s court.

Today, after hearing arguments from lawyer Gulzar Inqilab Alamani, the Moro Additional Judge ordered the registration of an FIR against the three policemen.
