Following a contempt of court petition by the High Court Bar, the Municipal Corporation Mirpurkhas has launched a major anti-encroachment drive from Monday to clear illegally occupied public spaces throughout the municipality.
The corporation’s anti-encroachment department is demolishing illegal shops and constructions obstructing roads, footpaths, and green belts.
The first phase of the operation has begun on Iqbal Road and Baldia Road, with the stated aim of clearing pathways for citizens and improving overall traffic flow.
