Sujag Shehri Ittehad continued its protest for the 19th day on Wednesday to demand the completion of the Taluka Hospital’s construction and accountability from elected representatives. Citizens and activists of Nasirabad, led by the alliance’s President Comrade Muhammad Rafi Laghari, Senior Vice President Sufi Ghaffar Channa, and General Secretary Asif Katho, gathered on Jamshah Ghazi Khawar Road to express their discontent.
The protest leaders emphasized that the hospital’s construction began 15 years ago to ensure better health services for the people of Nasirabad Taluka. Despite the initial promise, the facility has not yet been completed. They criticized the contractor for abandoning the project and performing substandard work, while condemning local representatives and the health department for misleading the community with a premature inauguration of the hospital.
The demonstration saw significant participation from various community groups, including Ghulam Nabi Sindhi of Young Alliance Nasirabad, Habib Solangi and Wajid Solangi of Solagi Young Alliance, Zuhair Memon of Bhitai Colony Young Alliance, Arif Brohi and Sameer Brohi of Jhangi Wah Young Alliance, and Abdul Jabbar Ganwas of Kamanan. The protesters are determined to ensure the hospital’s completion so that healthcare facilities do not remain merely a distant promise.
