A man wanted in nine criminal cases, including attempted murder and robbery, was taken into custody in an injured state after an alleged police encounter near Phurdo Mori today.
According to a statement by Naushahro Feroze district police spokesperson Shaukat Kaloo, Moro police arrested the accused, identified as Ali Gul son of Hussain Bux, and recovered a weapon from his possession.
The man, a resident of Maloo Ismail village, was a fugitive wanted by the Moro, A-Section Dadu, and Daulatpur police stations. Cases are registered against him in the districts of Naushahro Feroze, Dadu, and Shaheed Benazirabad under charges of attempted murder, robbery, and possession of illegal weapons.
In a separate law enforcement action, Tharo Shah police took another man, identified as Ikhtiar alias Dadlo son of Mukhtiar Kalhoro, into custody.
During the operation, authorities seized 1280 grams of charas. A case has been registered against the accused under the Narcotics Act.
