Srinagar, April 23, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Dr Nayeem Gilani, the son of APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, appeared before the India’s infamous National Investigation Agency in New Delhi in the name of questioning for more than eight hours on Monday. He has been again asked to appear before the NIA, today. Dr Nayeem is the elder son of Syed Gilani, and he had presented himself before the NIA after he was served a second summons by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
His family members said that in 2017 Gilani’s both sons – Dr Nayeem and Dr Naseem had appeared before NIA. While Nayeem appeared for 10 days, Dr Naseem was asked to appear for 12 days. In 2019, Dr Naseem was grilled again for two days at NIA headquarters and for one day at ED’s. Soon after that, his brother faced the same situation at NIA headquarters. Syed Ali Gilani in a statement has said that his sons were being subjected to political vendetta because of his role in the freedom movement.
