KARACHI:National Institute of Child Health’s (NICH) six doctors working in Medicine Ward-II have been tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19) in last couple of days, PPI learnt today.
Around 18 employees of NICH, including doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and others, have been affected by viral infection so far. The panic has spread in Pharmacy, Admin Block and Account Section following the report of corona cases.
The administration has started disinfecting the wards and screening of employees working in medicine department. Executive Director, NICH, Prof Jamal Raza, confirmed that six doctors had been diagnosed COVID-19 and there were under quarantine.
