NJV School defeats The City School in PCB Talent Hunt Programme (Karachi Region)

Despite a brilliant all-round performance by Hadi Dero, The City School faced a 3-wicket defeat at the hands of NJV School in a thrilling match of the PCB Talent Hunt Programme for school cricket (Karachi Region) held at Jinnah College Ground.

Batting first on Monday, The City School scored a total of 166 runs. The highlight of the innings was Hadi Dero’s exceptional knock, who scored 81 runs with the help of 15 fours. Other notable contributions included 21 runs from Hasan Shah and 19 from Shayan Jafri. NJV School’s bowling remained balanced, with Asghar Ali, Nazakat Ali, Intezar Abbasi, and Ajay Sawai each taking two wickets.

In pursuit of the target, NJV School achieved the required score in 30.2 overs for the loss of seven wickets. For the winning team, Amin Raza was the top scorer with 32 runs, while Ayaz Ali contributed 22 runs.

For The City School, Hadi Dero also showed a brilliant performance with the ball, taking two wickets along with his teammate Akmal Shirazi, but their efforts were not enough to prevent the defeat.
