KARACHI:Omar Associates, Haseen Habib, Total Energy and Factdate Veterans have qualified for the semifinals of 21st National Seniors Cricket Cup 2020-21 (Southern Zone).
The semifinals will be played on January 2.
At Naya Nazimabad Ground, Haseen Habib team batted first and put ton board 199-5 in allotted 20 overs. Kamil Mehmood (65 runs) and Zulfiqar Lehri (49 runs) batted well for the side. In reply, S.I. Global fell 14 runs short off target scoring 186 runs in 20 overs, Khurram Sarwer scored 67 runs while Danish Kaneria scored 31 runs. Naqeeb Agha picked five wickets for the winners in the match.
At Asghar Ali Shah Ground, AO Veterans scored 173-5 in allotted 20 overs. Nadeem Akhter scored 72 runs. Obaidullah Mangi took three wickets for 24 runs. Factdate Veterans achieved the target in 18.3 with seven wickets in hand. Tanveer Hussain (67 runs) and Rizwan Qureshi (58 runs) batted well for the winners.
Omar Associates batted first at Naya Nazimabad Ground and scored 155-5 in allotted 20 overs. Azhar Khan top scored for the side with 35 runs. In reply, Total Energy scored 143-8 in 20 overs. Mazhar Hussain scored 46 runs.
At RLCA Ground, Gold-Bridge Media scored 197-6 in 20 overs – thanks to Mohammad Salman’s brilliant ton (111 runs). But Salman’s efforts went in vain as the opponents Denim Crafts achieved the required target in 18.3 overs with seven wickets in hand. Asim Jah (77 runs) and Ahmed Zeeshan (66 runs) batted well for the side.
