Officials and community leaders at the Khairpur District Council Hall paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistani soldiers on Defence Day and remembered their bravery in defending the country’s sovereignty.
Deputy Commissioner Fayaz Hussain Rahujo praised the unwavering resolve of the armed forces in various wars, including 1965, 1971, Kargil, and Operation Zarb-e-Azb. He emphasized that their sacrifices ensured Pakistan’s security. SSP Hassan Sardar Niazi echoed these sentiments, stating that the nation remembers its heroes. He stressed the importance of paying homage to martyred soldiers and supporting their families.
Students of the Sindh Children Academy presented performances highlighting the significance of the day. Local business leaders, including Haji Lala Abdul Ghaffar Shaikh and representatives of minority communities, expressed the nation’s gratitude for the martyrs. Gifts and essential supplies were presented to the families of martyred soldiers.
