Optic fibre not yet installed by PTCL in Naundero

NAUNDERO: Over 400 DSL broadband subscribers are suffering without proper internet speed and service for the last several months due to negligence by PTCL for which citizens have even made complaints on Prime Minister’s Citizen Portal but the issue is still persisting.

Fahad Jamal, Akshay Kumar, Kashif Katpar, Waqar Mirani, Kamran Kazi, Imran Mangnejo and others told this scribe on Friday that they even made complaints on social media accounts of the PTCL for which they were assured that Optic Fiber has been approved for Naundero and soon it will be installed so that internet speed could be improved for which the subscribers have been paying Rs3000 per month but in return get very slow speed. They said that they have hired 8 Mbps but in fact they get internet speed between 1.26 to 2.5 Mbps which amounts to looting the subscribers monthly since long.

They said that even complaints made to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on its social media account Twitter remain unanswered which proved that PTCL has also influenced PTA hence complaints remain unresolved and unheard.

The subscribers said that Pakistan’s Prime Minister has always been claiming that corruption will not be tolerated but open violations of subscriber’s rights have so far gone attended by the PTA and there seems nobody to resolve the issue as most of the PTCL connection holders are students and mobile users who only pay monthly bills to get required internet speed otherwise it’s useless for them. The citizens have demanded the relevant federal communication ministry authorities to take notice of the issue and resolve it immediately because tax is also deducted from the monthly basis.
