ISLAMABAD:Federal Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting on Hajj Policy-2023 here at Finance Division, on Saturday.

 

Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Finance Tariq Bajwa, Special Secretary Finance and senior officers from Finance and Religious Affairs Ministries attended the meeting.

 

The meeting was apprised on the Hajj-2023 policy and expected number of Pakistanis applied to perform Hajj. It was informed that more than 179,000 Pakistanis are expected for Hajj this year.

 

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs informed the Finance Minister about certain issues related to foreign exchange and sought his support. The Finance Minister stated that Hajj is a sacred religious obligation to be performed by every Muslim and we have to contribute our part for the blessings of Almighty Allah.

 

The Finance Minister committed to extend maximum support and cooperation for facilitating to the Hajjis to make the religious event successful. Mufti Abdul Shakoor, thanked the Finance Minister for cooperation and support.
