PAC seeks details of PSO officers’ salaries

ISLAMABAD: Expressing his dissatisfaction over the quality of petrol sold at the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) outlets, Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Chairman MNA Noor Alam Khan on Thursday directed the secretary petroleum to submit to the committee details of salaries of the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) officials.

He also asked him as to when petroleum products’ prices would come down. “For God’s sake, reduce these products’ prices,” he said, adding, “After all prices have come down in the international market.”

PAC chairman also admonished the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) officials, saying they had failed to satisfy him. The FBR chairman told the meeting that an attempt was made to hack the Board’s website in 2021, which was foiled. Chairman Noor Alam also directed that gas connections be opened. “This is for the second time I am instructing you,” he said.
