Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi engaged in discussions with British Minister for Faith, Communities and Resettlement Lord Wajid Khan, focusing on strengthening Pakistan-UK relations.
The meeting, attended by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, British High Commissioner Jane Marriott, and Interior Secretary Muhammad Khurram Agha, centered on enhancing cooperation in counter-terrorism, security, and preventing cross-border crimes.
During the meeting, Naqvi highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation with the UK. Lord Khan condemned the attack on the Jaffar Express and offered condolences to the victims’ families, recognizing Pakistan’s significant sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. Naqvi underscored the exemplary role of Pakistan’s security forces and urged international support, emphasizing the UK’s crucial role.
Lord Khan expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s assistance in relocating Afghan refugees to the UK. Naqvi assured that the repatriation of illegal foreign nationals is being conducted with dignity, while those with valid documents remain unaffected. Talal Chaudhry confirmed that all necessary facilities are being provided during the repatriation process.
