Islamabad, The Government of Pakistan, through its Finance Division, has announced updated prices for petroleum products effective from June 15, 2024, reflecting the latest trends in the international market. The revisions show a significant decrease in the price of Motor Spirit (Petrol) while there is a slight reduction in the cost of High-Speed Diesel (HSD).
According to Ministry of Finance, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has adjusted the consumer prices for petrol and diesel based on the mixed trends observed in the international oil market over the last fortnight. From June 15, the new price of Motor Spirit will see a notable decrease of 10.20 Rupees per liter, setting it at 258.16 Rupees. Meanwhile, High-Speed Diesel will be priced at 267.89 Rupees per liter, down by 2.33 Rupees.
These changes come as part of the regular biweekly review conducted by OGRA to ensure that domestic fuel prices align with global oil price fluctuations. This adjustment aims to pass the benefits of reduced international prices on to Pakistani consumers, amidst the broader economic adjustments in the country.
