Pakistan and Canada are set to enhance their economic partnership, with a focus on agriculture and mining, following a successful arrangement that granted Canadian canola exports market access to the South Asian nation.
According to official report, the commitment to advance mutually beneficial cooperation was reaffirmed during a telephonic conversation between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand.
Discussions between the two officials centered on strengthening bilateral trade and investment, particularly through collaboration under the Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPPA).
During the call, Foreign Minister Anand extended her gratitude to the Deputy Prime Minister for facilitating the entry of Canadian canola shipments into the Pakistani market.
Both leaders acknowledged the value of recent constructive engagements and concurred on the importance of remaining in close contact.
