Pakistan Denounces Israeli ‘Blatant Violations’ at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Pakistan issued a strong condemnation on Tuesday against what it described as continuing violations by Israeli occupying forces and extremist settlers, highlighting the repeated storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards as a blatant transgression of international law.

In a formal statement, the Foreign Office detailed the provocations against Palestinian worshippers in the occupied West Bank, attributing the ongoing actions to both Israeli forces and settlers.

The official communique asserted that these activities represent a flagrant breach of established international norms and pertinent United Nations resolutions. It stressed that it is imperative to ensure the sanctity of the holy sites is maintained in accordance with the historical status quo.

Consequently, Islamabad has called upon the global community to adopt urgent and effective measures to shield the holy sites from further incursions, prevent continued settler violence, and uphold all relevant UN resolutions.

Reaffirming its long-standing policy, Pakistan reiterated its principled support for a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace. This vision is based on the Two-State solution, which would lead to the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and viable State of Palestine on pre-June 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
