Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to a national digital transformation, spotlighting the youth as a pivotal asset for the country’s future.

During her speech at the ‘Leaders in Islamabad Business Summit,’ Khawaja announced that the government is dedicated to empowering young people by equipping them with skills in low, medium, and high-tech courses. She highlighted efforts to utilize technology to broaden access to skill development, ensuring a larger number of people gain employable skills.

Additionally, Khawaja revealed that Pakistan will host a two-day Digital Foreign Direct Investment Summit in collaboration with the Digital Corporation Organization of Saudi Arabia. The event is anticipated to attract over three hundred international participants.

On the infrastructure front, she shared that the Islamabad IT Park is slated for inauguration on August 14 this year, and a proposal for an IT park in South Punjab is nearing completion.
