A high-level Pakistani delegation met with the head of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) on Thursday to pursue enhanced capital infusion into the nation’s critical energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors.

The meeting featured First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in discussions with Mohammad Saif Al-Sowaidi, the Chief Executive Officer of Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund. The dialogue centered on identifying new avenues to bolster economic cooperation between the two countries.

During the talks, the First Lady commended the QIA for its growing portfolio in Pakistan. She expressed a strong interest in expanding these partnerships, underscoring their potential to fuel sustainable economic growth and create much-needed jobs for the populace.

Mr. Al-Sowaidi reaffirmed the QIA’s steadfast commitment to exploring new opportunities for collaboration. The CEO articulated a desire to further deepen the financial and commercial ties between what he referred to as the two brotherly nations.
