Pakistan today issued a strong call for immediate and resolute global action to address the spiraling violence in Sudan, warning of a looming and profound humanitarian catastrophe if the international community fails to intervene.
Addressing a session of the United Nations Security Council, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, formally denounced the ongoing atrocities taking place within the African nation, according to a report by MOIB.
The ambassador stressed the necessity for the global community to formulate a swift and decisive response aimed at halting the escalating conflict.
In his remarks, Ahmad underscored that such intervention is critical to prevent the current situation from devolving into an even deeper humanitarian disaster for the people of Sudan.
