Pakistani rupee stable against US dollar in interbank market, Faces Pressure from Euro and Pound

The Pakistani rupee demonstrated a stable position against the US dollar in the interbank market on Saturday, while concurrently experiencing a challenging environment against the British pound and the euro, according to figures released by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan.

In the day”s trading, the American dollar was quoted with a buying rate of PKR 280.03 and a selling rate of PKR 280.62.

The single European currency presented a stronger stance, with its buying price recorded at PKR 329.41 and its selling price reaching PKR 332.43.

Similarly, the pound sterling showed robust value, being traded at PKR 377.11 for buying and PKR 380.61 for selling.

The day”s currency report also included the Japanese yen, which was valued between PKR 1.78 and PKR 1.84 in the interbank dealings.

Currencies from the Gulf region were also noted, with the UAE dirham being exchanged at a buying rate of PKR 76.44 and a selling rate of PKR 77.18.

The Saudi riyal was listed at PKR 74.75 for buying and PKR 75.33 for selling, completing the day”s major currency exchange summary.
