Pakistan’s ongoing humanitarian support for Palestine has now exceeded 2,800 tonnes, following the dispatch of a new 100-tonne consignment of essential food supplies destined for the people of Gaza.
According to an official report today, the latest delivery, which marks the 29th such aid package coordinated by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), was organised in partnership with the Alkhidmat Foundation. The shipment includes vital provisions such as flour, rice, dates, cooking oil, and meals-ready-to-eat (MREs).
With this addition, the total volume of relief assistance sent from Pakistan to Palestine has reached 2,827 tonnes.
A chartered aircraft transported the relief goods from Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore to Al-arish, Egypt, from where they will be transferred onward to Gaza. A sending-off ceremony was attended by senior officials from the NDMA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), alongside representatives from various government departments and the Alkhidmat Foundation.
The Government of Pakistan affirmed that it stands firmly with the people of Palestine and will continue all possible efforts to support their humanitarian needs during this difficult period.
