Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh leader Kashif Saeed Sheikh severely criticized the Abraham Accords, calling them a betrayal of Palestinian martyrs. Today, he declared that Palestine undoubtedly belongs to the Palestinians and refused to recognize Israel’s occupation as legitimate. This came at a time when there is strong resistance from Pakistanis against recognizing an illegal occupation as legitimate.
Despite the intensity of the temperature in Sindh, residents are facing severe load shedding, which Sheikh termed as governmental incompetence. He said that as a province that produces a significant amount of Pakistan’s energy, it is an injustice for citizens to face such difficulties, equating it to rubbing salt into the wounds of the public.
During a visit to the Al-Khidmat Qurbani Center in Larkana, Sheikh praised Al-Khidmat’s efforts in providing meat to millions of poor families across the country. He was accompanied by District Ameer Larkana Advocate Nadir Ali Khosa and Al-Khidmat President Hafiz Muhammad Yaqoob.
Sheikh reiterated that Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, had declared Israel as an illegitimate state, a sentiment that still resonates with Pakistanis today. He further criticized the unrest in Sindh, highlighting the prevalence of theft and the lack of basic facilities, even during festivals like Eid.
Furthermore, Sheikh urged Muslim leaders to avoid succumbing to U.S. policies under former President Trump’s leadership and instead focus on the welfare of their citizens.
