People suffering due to political tension between Sindh, Center: JI

Karachi:Poor people are suffering due to political conflict between federal and Sindh government and they getting no relief, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chapter amir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said. During his visit to JI mega centre and talking to journalists, he said Sindh government has no formal or informal data of labours while the Centre was running Benazir Income Support Program with a new name of Ehsaas programme.

On the occasion, the notables of area gave him safety kits and other materials for doctors and paramedics. He said both governments have no such programs under which people could be supported in this difficult time. He said the Sindh government has not provided safety gears including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to healthcare staff of government hospitals.

JI has established mega centres at different spots in city where needy persons are being provided with ration. He said many masjids are being sprayed to disinfect. He further said that JI has also provided safety gears and PPEs to government hospitals while his party has started running online lectures and religious information programs.

The volunteers of Alkhidmat are busy day and night to cater relief services of needy people in different parts of the city and so far the mega centre of JI at Bahadurabad has provided ration to 20,000 families while another 50,000 to 100,000 families are enlisted for help through district amirs in different parts of the megacity, he maintained.

He; however, demanded of Director General Rangers Sindh to ensure arrest of the killers of JI worker Saleem. KMC parliamentary leader Junaid Mukati, Saifuddin Advocate, Qazi Sadaruddin and Zahid Askari were also present.
