The President of the UN General Assembly, Ms Annalena Baerbock, will convene the sixth interactive dialogue for the position of Secretary-General of the United Nations on June 18, in which candidates will outline their vision for the United Nations and answer Member State and civil society questions about their leadership experience and qualifications, UN reform and the three pillars of the United Nations – peace and security, development and human rights.
According to UN information today, Ms Carolyn Rodrigues Birkett is the sixth candidate nominated for the position of Secretary-General and will participate in the interactive dialogue from 10:00 am in the Trusteeship Council Chamber at UN Headquarters in New York.
During the three-hour dialogue, the candidate will be invited to present an opening statement of up to 10 minutes which will be followed by questions from UN Member States and civil society representatives to further explore their leadership skills and experience.
