A delegation from the Pakistan Industrial Sewing Machines Importers and Dealers Association (PISMIDA) met with Ms. Zoe Zhao, a Foreign Trade Manager from China, during the Leather Show held at the Lahore Expo Centre today. The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the use of advanced technology and other support needed for Pakistan’s industrial development.

Speaking to the delegation, Ms. Zhao assured her organization’s cooperation in upgrading machinery and training a skilled workforce. She stated that adopting modern technology would significantly increase production, enabling Pakistani industries to secure a strong position in global markets and earn valuable foreign exchange.
PISMIDA Vice Chairman Muhammad Yasin expressed gratitude for the positive response, stating that Pakistan’s textile, garments, leather, and footwear sectors are keen to benefit from China’s advanced technology. He emphasized that to maintain global competitiveness, these industries require modern equipment, automation, and innovation-driven partnerships.
Ms. Zhao also informed the Pakistani representatives about an upcoming industrial exhibition in Guangdong in May.
Mr. Yasin said that participating in the Guangdong exhibition would be a significant opportunity, providing Pakistani industrialists with direct access to Chinese machinery manufacturers and paving the way for potential distribution agreements and long-term supply collaborations.
The PISMIDA delegation, which included In-charge International Trade Affairs Muhammad Umair, Lahore Chapter Chairman Syed Safeer Abbas Shah, and Jalees Ahmed, presented a commemorative shield to Ms. Zhao to appreciate the spirit of mutual cooperation.
