Three individuals were arrested after a dramatic exchange of fire between police and suspected robbers in the Defence Society area on Saturday, with two of the suspects also being injured during the confrontation.
According to an official report from the Defence Police Station, the incident occurred near Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Extension Phase VII of the Defence Housing Authority.
Two of the arrested individuals, identified as Muhammad Safar son of Fazal Ahmed and Abdul Rehman son of Muhammad Anwar, were injured in the exchange of fire and taken into custody.
A third alleged accomplice, Muzammil Ali son of Zahid Ali, was also apprehended at the scene but was not reported to be injured.
Authorities recovered two pistols, ammunition, and a motorcycle from the suspects’ possession following the confrontation.
The South District Police have launched a further investigation into the matter.
