An alleged robber was shot and killed during a deadly encounter with the police in the Kharadar area on Monday, while his accomplice managed to escape from the scene and remains at large.
The incident occurred near Jodia Bazar when officers encountered two suspected criminals. The situation escalated into an exchange of fire, resulting in one suspect being killed.
Following the exchange of fire, authorities secured the scene and a pistol along with bullets was recovered.
The body of the deceased has been moved to the hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The Kharadar police have initiated a formal investigation into the incident, and a search is underway for the second individual who escaped during the encounter. Further investigation is ongoing.
