In North Karachi, following an exchange of fire during a police encounter with alleged robbers on Wednesday, one suspect was arrested in an injured condition, while his accomplice managed to escape.
The encounter took place near Muhammad Shah graveyard in Sector 7-A. The arrested suspect, who was injured during the firing, has been identified by authorities as Tanveer Ahmed son of Bashir Ahmed.
A search is underway for his accomplice, who evaded authorities and fled the area. Law enforcement officials recovered a pistol along with ammunition from the scene.
The Sir Syed police station has registered a case and initiated a comprehensive investigation into the matter. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
