The British pound sterling and the euro continued to trade at high valuations against the domestic currency in the interbank market on Saturday, with the pound’s selling price closing near the 387 mark.
According to the latest figures released by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the pound sterling was quoted at 382.94 for buying and 386.93 for selling.
The euro was valued at 331.60 on the buying side and 334.86 on the selling side.
Meanwhile, the United States dollar was recorded with a buying price of 280.18 and a selling price of 280.81.
Currencies from the Gulf region also held firm, with the UAE dirham trading at 76.49 (buying) and 77.23 (selling). The Saudi riyal was priced at 74.81 for buying and 75.38 for selling.
The Japanese yen was listed with a buying rate of 1.79 and a selling rate of 1.84, as per the association”s data for the day.
