KARACHI: Sindh Provincial Ministers and Leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party on Friday visited the central office of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.
PPP Sindh President Senator Nisar Khoro, General Secretary Waqar Mehdi, Provincial Labor and Manpower Minister Saeed Ghani, Women Welfare Minister Shehla Raza, South District President Khalil Hoot and General Secretary Karamullah Waqasi, Deputy Information Secretary of Karachi Division Muhammad Asif Khan and other leaders amongst those who visited the KMC headquarters.
Administrator Karachi, Sindh Government Spokesperson and CM Advisor on Law Barrister Murtaza Wahab welcomed the provincial ministers and leaders coming to KMC Building. The Administrator Karachi briefed the delegation about ongoing development works in Karachi, construction and repair of roads, installation of street lights, renovation of underpasses and flyovers and future projects. On the occasion, Senator Nisar Khoro said that the Administrator is serving Karachi without discrimination with his full capabilities.
He said that the infrastructure of Karachi was severely damaged after the rains of the past few days, but the speed with which the infrastructure has been improved by the timely actions of the administrator Karachi is commendable. The Provincial Ministers and PPP leaders made a detailed visit to the KMC Building, they also saw the newly renovated Council Hall and the clock of the KMC building and appreciated the works.
The members of the delegation expressed their happiness that the historical building of KMC is in a good condition with all its glory. Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani said that his memories of the eight years are associated with this building. Administrator Karachi said that KMC is the nursery of democracy and the persons serving as members here are not only active in the politics of Pakistan but are serving the country and the nation.
“I am trying hard to make KMC financially stable so that this organization continues to serve the citizens,” Barrister Murtaza Wahab said and added that according to the vision of Chairman of People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chief Minister of Sindh, development work is being done in Karachi. He said that PPP’s vision is that if Karachi is better then Pakistan will be better. He said that Karachi is an economic hub and the focus is on improving its infrastructure.
