The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, and the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq, met at the President’s House, Kashmir House, in Islamabad. The two leaders condemned the incident in Pahalgam, orchestrated by India through a false operation, and expressed concern over human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.
The President and Prime Minister stated that the Indian government, under Modi’s Hindutva policies, is writing new chapters of oppression and tyranny in occupied Kashmir. They appealed to the international community to pressure India to refrain from its intentions.
Both leaders agreed to intensify efforts to expose Indian atrocities and highlight the Kashmir issue from the base camp of freedom. They expressed satisfaction with the ongoing efforts to establish good governance in Azad Kashmir and decided to further improve it.
The President and Prime Minister also decided to accelerate development projects in Azad Kashmir to usher in a new era of prosperity in the region. The meeting included discussions on the political situation in Azad Kashmir and other matters of mutual interest.
