The protest organized by the Citizens’ Union in Naseerabad against SEPCO’s excesses and illegal load shedding continued for the fifth consecutive day.

The protest rally, which started from Noonari Mohalla, was led by several leaders, including Mashooq Ali Phulpoto.

The rally reached Fazil Rahu Chowk, where the protesters set fire to an effigy of the SEPCO SDO.

On this occasion, Mashooq Phulpoto addressed the crowd, stating that the struggle will continue and announced a shutterdown strike in Naseerabad on Friday, May 9.

He appealed to the citizens to cooperate in the strike and declared that the struggle will persist until the electricity supply is restored and the heavy detection bills are abolished.

The closure of the Indus Highway was also announced for Friday.
