Protest gathering was organized by the Highway Workers Union Sindh Division at the Highway Office Ground in Badin, attended by a number of union leaders and workers. The gathering emphasized the protection of employees’ rights and the approval of their demands.

The central General Secretary of the union, Abdul Razzaq Abro, addressed the gathering, stating that injustices against the workers of Badin should be stopped immediately. He affirmed that the union stands with the employees of Badin and will not tolerate any mistreatment.

He highlighted the current inflation and noted that while government employees’ salaries have been increased in other provinces, Sindh remains the only province where salaries have not been raised. He demanded an immediate increase in salaries and the approval of all legitimate demands, including utility allowances.

The central Chairman, Ali Muhammad Laghari, stated that the children of deceased employees should be recruited under the “Deceased Quota” and that group insurance should be issued immediately, otherwise, there will be protests.

Other officials and leaders from the Badin Division were also present at the gathering. Poet Majrooh, Muhammad Jaman, and artist Akbar Shah also participated. The event concluded with prayers for the departed leaders.
