The Solangi community, residents of the Ghafoor Shah Channel Mori area in Hyderabad, staged a protest in front of the Hyderabad Press Club against the alleged illegal actions of police from the Tando Yusuf police station.
Participants in the protest, including Khameeso Solangi, Naimat Solangi, Abdul Sattar Solangi, and Zainab Solangi, accused the police officers of unjustly raiding their homes the previous night.
The protestors claimed that the police officers violated the sanctity of their homes, subjecting the inhabitants to violence.
They alleged that the police personnel arrest young men and demand bribes worth hundreds of thousands of rupees for their release, which has left the local residents feeling insecure.
Members of the Solangi community called on the IG Sindh Police, DIG, and SSP Hyderabad to take legal action against the officers of the Tando Yusuf police station and to provide protection and justice to the residents of the area.
