PTI protests in Sindh Assembly against not being allowed to table resolution on water shortage

KARACHI:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) here on Friday staged a strong protest in Sindh Assembly when they were not given permission to table a resolution against what they called artificial shortage of water in Sindh province. They protested led by the leader of opposition Haleem Adil Sheikh. They raised slogans against the artificial water shortage. Addressing on the occasion, Sheikh said that today the joint resolution was brought by the elected members of Karachi.

He said Karachi generates revenue for the country. He said 90 percent revenue of Sindh is generated by Karachi, the largest city of Pakistan and Sindh. He said Karachiites are being punished because they did not give vote to PPP. He said enemity to Karachi is enemity to Pakistan. He said that in Karachi citizens do not get tap water, but buy water from tanker mafia. He said Bilawal Zardari and Murad Ali Shah are the heads of tankers. He said in Karachi water worth Rs250 billion is being stolen.

He said law and order is worsening in Sindh. He said due to corruption people are deprived of basic needs of life. He said Karachi has become like Larkana and Thar. He said in his constituency tanker mafia is selling water of factories. He said in the Center we are representatives of Sindh. He said Karachiites not only lack facility of tap water but also of roads, public transport and other basic civic services. He said matters of Sindh Public Service Commission should be fixed and uphold of merit be ensured. He said corruption mafia sells government jobs. He said the sitting rulers of Sindh have ruined everything department.

Sheikh said now even water tankers are not sent in his constituency. He said Sindh CM has stopped water supply due to political vendeta to him. He said 450000 citizens in his constituency would protest if water is not supplied to them. He said federal government has granting huge funds to Sindh. He said tge the federal government is giving basic facilities to masses. He said assembly is the forum of lawmaking but the voice of opposition is being suppressed.
