Public Health – OGDC, AKUH Partner To Combat Hepatitis C In Free Screening Camps

OGDC and AKUH are joining forces to tackle Hepatitis C in Pakistan through a series of free screening and treatment camps. The initiative, part of OGDC”s corporate social responsibility program, will offer free diagnostics, consultations, and medication across OGDC healthcare centers in Punjab and Sindh.

The program will initially run from September 23 to December 11, 2025, in Chakwal, Attock, Gujjar Khan (Rawalpindi), and Dera Ghazi Khan in Punjab, and Hyderabad, Sanghar, and Ghotki in Sindh. Two follow-up phases are planned, the first between September 30 and December 18, 2025, and the second from March 31 to June 18, 2026.

This partnership builds upon OGDC”s ongoing commitment to accessible healthcare. Earlier this year, the corporation donated three mobile eye surgery units to Al-Shifa Trust Hospital and conducted 35 free eye camps across the nation, offering cataract procedures, consultations, and glasses to numerous individuals. These programs demonstrate OGDC”s dedication to the UN”s Sustainable Development Goal 3, promoting good health and well-being.
