The Government of Punjab has implemented several comprehensive public health initiatives, providing free critical medical treatments to over one million citizens across the province.
According to official data released today, under the direction of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the provincial administration has launched programs targeting pediatric cardiology, kidney failure, and organ transplantation, aimed at enhancing patient access to essential medical services.
Foremost among these efforts is the pediatric heart surgery program, under which more than 8,400 successful operations have been performed.
Furthermore, a substantial increase in funding for dialysis has enabled over one million patients to receive this life-saving treatment at no cost.
The government also introduced transplant cards, facilitating free organ transplant surgeries for more than 900 individuals.
