Punjab University Confers Ten Doctorates Across Diverse Academic Disciplines

The University of the Punjab announced on Friday the conferral of ten Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees upon scholars who completed their research across a wide spectrum of academic fields, underscoring the institution”s broad contribution to higher learning.

The recipients in the humanities and social sciences include Tayyiba Khalid, daughter of Khalid Mehmood, in Urdu; Ayesha Raza, daughter of Raza ul Haq, in Special Education; and Muhammad Mujahid Sharif, son of Muhammad Sharif, in History.

In management and information-related disciplines, doctorates were awarded to Azim Ilyas Bruno, son of Nazir Thomas, in Total Quality Management, and Muhammad Suleman Bajwa, son of Abdul Rasheed Bajwa, in Information Management.

The university also recognized achievements in the natural and applied sciences. Degrees were granted to Hafiza Hira Iqbal, daughter of Muhammad Iqbal, in Environmental Sciences; Anum Tahir, daughter of Tahir Mehmood, in Chemistry; and Sana Tahir, daughter of Muhammad Tahir Hussain, in Biotechnology.

Completing the list of new doctorates are Muhammad Asad Ullah, son of Hidayat Ahmad, in Mathematics, and Samina Gul, daughter of Malik Manzoor Hussain, in the discipline of Zoology.
