Quetta’s five shopkeepers arrested for defying price list

QUETTA: District administration Quetta on Thursday arrestee five milk shopkeepers at Faqir Muhammad Road area of the provincial capital on the charges of defying price list of daily commodities issued by the district administration.

Five milk shops were also sealed during the operation. Assistant Commissioner Quetta city Atta-ul-Munhim said operation against Dairy Farms would also be initiated. According to detail, district administration Quetta sealed five milk shops in a drive launched against profiteers at Faqir Muhammad Road area of Quetta. Five shopkeepers were also arrested during the operation. The detained shopkeepers were sent to prison.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Quetta city, Atta-ul-Munhim said that no one would be allowed to defy price list issued by the district administration, adding that in compliance with the directives of Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Mir Shahak Baloch, operation against dairy farms would also be launched. He said, “No law of jungle prevails in Quetta and as such no so called association has the power to issue its own price list”.
