Addressing an international seminar organized by the Muslim Council of Elders for the promotion of peace and security in the world, Dr. Sahibzada Uzair Mahmud Al-Azhari warned that peace conferences should not be used as a cover to stop support for the oppressed, and stressed that raising a voice against the atrocities in Gaza and Palestine is a shared human responsibility.
During the seminar organized today by the Muslim Council of Elders for the promotion of world peace, Dr. Al-Azhari pointed to the millions of non-Muslim citizens in America and Europe who have taken to the streets, calling it proof that raising a voice against oppression is not limited to any single group but is a universal duty.
Speaking on the global reality of diverse beliefs and ideologies, the scholar said that its solution is not mutual annihilation but dialogue with love, tolerance, and reason. He described this path as the one adopted by Hazrat Ibrahim, Hazrat Musa, Hazrat Isa, and the last Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon them all).
Dr. Al-Azhari also presented a theological argument on Tawhid (the oneness of God), stating that the world’s intellectual and religious diversity is itself proof of a single, partnerless Creator. He argued that the principle of “unity in diversity” ultimately leads humanity to recognize one Lord, thus presenting a reasoned refutation of atheism.
The address was highly praised by officials. The Pakistani representative of the Muslim Council of Elders, Dr. Arshad Al-Azhari, and the international representative, Dr. Saeed Al-Khattab Al-Masri, praised the insightful and scholarly speech, stating that it would play a significant role in promoting global peace, justice, and interfaith harmony.
In the end, a member of the media cell of the Council of Islamic Ideology, Pakistan, extended a formal vote of thanks to Dr. Sahibzada Uzair Mahmud Al-Azhari for his valuable time and participation.
