Rates of daily use commodities rise

Karachi:Prices of daily-use commodities rose in whole Sindh including megacity on Sunday as the province was all set for a lockdown.

Beef, mutton, chicken, vegetables, fresh milk and other edibles were sold by shopkeepers at higher rates. However, the price checking mechanism was not seen in action.

Citizens were seen on buying spree in many localities anticipating a lockdown. However, the government has already clarified that grocery stores, milk shops and medical stores would remain open.
