According to official data, remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis saw a significant increase in the first month of the new year, reaching a substantial amount of 3.5 billion US dollars.
According to the data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Tuesday, this is a strong increase of 15.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
This financial inflow is an important source of foreign exchange for the country’s economy.
The total amount received during January 2026 is a strong start to the calendar year for overseas remittances.
