This demand was made today by Zahra Khan, a member of the SESSI Governing Body, who was presiding over the ceremony held at the Social Security VALIKA Hospital, SITE, organized by the institution’s Public Relations Department on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

During the meeting, several female employees of SESSI expressed their professional challenges, in which they emphasized the need for better facilities, equal opportunities, and a respectful and dignified environment at their workplace.

The program was skillfully moderated by Nazneen Baqir, in which senior officials also spoke. Chief Medical Officer Health Dr. Hina Ijaz, Medical Superintendent Dr. Ghiasuddin, and Director Public Relations Wasim Jamal highlighted the important role of women in socio-economic development.

The speakers acknowledged that although the government has enacted legislation to empower women socially and economically, effective measures for their welfare and development are an urgent need. They reiterated that women play a fundamental role in the development of any society.

In her concluding remarks, Ms. Khan formally requested the SESSI administration to promptly address the issues faced by its female workforce, so they can perform their professional duties more effectively.
