Sindh Interior Minister, Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar, on Monday took notice of an armed robbery and firing incident on a passenger bus and a car near Sehwan and ordered immediate police action.
In a series of directives, the Interior Minister today sought an immediate report from the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jamshoro on all police actions taken following the attack.
Mr. Lanjar emphasized that the immediate arrest of the criminals involved in the incident be ensured, directing law enforcement agencies to utilize all available resources for their capture.
To secure the area, the minister ordered a comprehensive search and combing operation with additional police deployment at the scene.
Issuing a stern warning, Mr. Lanjar declared that any negligence regarding the protection of citizens’ lives and property will not be tolerated.
The minister also called for significantly tightening security on the highways, ordering increased patrolling to prevent such incidents in the future.
Furthermore, a directive was also issued to provide all possible assistance to the victims of the attack.
Mr. Lanjar stressed the need for a thorough investigation, promising that the facts of the case would be brought before the public soon.
Concluding his directives, the Interior Minister stressed that the Sindh Police must take indiscriminate action against all criminal elements.
