PESHAWAR: Rs1, 29, 500 fine was imposed on shopkeepers in Lower Dir on Thursday for violating government approved daily commodities’ rates.
The district administration lower Dir took stern action against violators of government approved daily commodities rates and booked a number of shopkeepers on charge of illegal price hiking and absence of government approved rates list in the shops.
In this connection, on the direction of deputy commissioner Lower Dir Muhammad Zubair Khan Niazi, on Thursday, the administration officers and District Food Controller, checked various bazaars in the district and took at least 59 inspection activities all over the district. The authorities lodged FIRs against three violators while at least Rs1,29,500 fine imposed on shopkeepers who were involved in illegal price hiking.
