Islamabad, October 30, 2018 (PPI-OT): Visa was granted to Mr. Fakhar-e-Alam by Russian Authorities today in the morning. Fakhar-e-Alam had landed at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk city airport, located more than 6000 km away from Moscow, in the wee hours of 29 October 2018 after expiry of his Russian visa.
Ambassador of Pakistan to the Russian Federation as well as other officers of the Embassy remained in touch with Fakhar-e-Alam throughout the day yesterday and kept him, Pakistan Government officials and media informed about the efforts made to secure his visa renewed.
We thank the Government of the Russian Federation, in particular the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for their fullest cooperation in renewing the visa of Fakhar-e-Alam and facilitating his short stay at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
