ISLAMABAD:Utility Stores Corporation (USC) will facilitate Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) beneficiaries through a Sahulat Card to procure basic food times on subsidized rates.

An agreement to this effect was signed here on Friday in the presence of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bokhari and Chairman USC Zulqarnain Khan. Sahulat Card holders will procure basic food items like flour, rice, pulses, cooking oil, and sugar.

Meanwhile, addressing a news conference along with Chairman USC Zulqarnain Khan and Chairman EOBI Azhar Hameed here on Friday, Zulfiqar Bukhari said Sahulat Card is in line with the Prime Minister’s vision for the state of Madinah which will benefit around 8-million people.

He said under this card, concession will be provided on five essential items which will provide relief to EOBI employees in difficult time of corona pandemic. He said EOBI’s pension has also been increased from six and half thousand to eight and half thousand rupees. Speaking on the occasion, USC Chairman said transparency will be observed in processing of Sahulat Card for EOBI employees.
