Police authorities in the capital have issued stringent directives aimed at intensifying efforts against criminal gangs and ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property, following a high-level review of the crime situation in the Industrial Area Zone.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, chaired a crucial meeting with officers from the Industrial Area Zone. The session focused on assessing local crime trends and refining operational approaches. Attendees included SP Industrial Area Zone Hasnain Waris, alongside Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) from the area, according to a police report today.
During the proceedings, SSP Raza unequivocally instructed officers to increase pressure on criminal syndicates and ensure the apprehension of their absconding members. A primary focus was placed on individuals involved in property-related offences.
He mandated the compilation of comprehensive data on all accused involved in property crimes, with an urgent emphasis on their immediate arrests. Furthermore, all ongoing investigations must be concluded thoroughly and on merit, with challans presented to the relevant courts without delay.
Officers were also directed to maintain stringent oversight on previously released individuals implicated in property crimes, with immediate re-arrests if any new offences are committed. The SSP underscored the importance of apprehending those responsible for vehicle and motorcycle thefts, alongside maximising arrests of proclaimed offenders.
Reiterating the force”s commitment, SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza stated, “Protecting the lives and property of citizens is our top priority and no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.”
