Peshawar, An intelligence-based operation conducted by security forces in the Hassan Khel area of Peshawar District today resulted in the deaths of five terrorists and injuries to three others. The operation targeted a reported terrorist hideout, leading to a fierce exchange of fire.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the operation saw significant engagement from Pakistani troops, who effectively located and targeted the terrorists. Tragically, the clash also resulted in the deaths of Captain Hussain Jahangir, 25, from Rahim Yar Khan District, and Havildar Shafiq Ullah, 36, from District Karak, who were leading the charge. The ongoing sanitization efforts aim to secure the area completely by eliminating any remaining terrorist threats. The incident underscores the continued dedication of Pakistan’s security forces to combating terrorism and the significant sacrifices involved.
